It has been 150 years since Spurgeon’s children’s charity was founded by Baptist minister, Charles Haddon Spurgeon. To mark the anniversary, the charity has undergone a re-brand, which it believes puts Charles Spurgeon back at the heart of its identity and mission.
According to a statement from the charity, it is looking to build partnerships with churches as part of its anniversary year. The statement said: ‘Our work is driven by the need that is out there, with a clear vision to work with children and families, as a charity that is Christ-honouring.
‘For over 150 years, children, parents, communities, supporters and statutory agencies have trusted us to be consistently led by our Christian values. The anniversary is a perfect opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to continue the work Spurgeon started, to improve the lives of families and children who are struggling to cope’.
