Steven J Lawson yesterday published a letter of repentance (copied in full below) following his fall into a sinful relationship with a woman, which was revealed in 2024.
Back in September 2024 Lawson was removed from his preaching role by the elders of his church because of his ‘inappropriate relationship’ with an unnamed woman.
Until his removal, Lawson was a preacher at Trinity Bible Church in Dallas, Texas, and also the founder and president of One Passion Ministries.
The then 73-year-old was also a Teaching Fellow with Ligonier Ministries and Professor of Preaching and Dean of D.Min. studies at John MacArthur’s The Master's Seminary.
