A Christian evangelist who held up a sign in London against Islamic ideology has vowed to appeal against a High Court decision upholding his arrest.
In 2017, as a special service was being held at Southwark Cathedral to support victims of the London Bridge Islamic terrorist attacks, Ian Sleeper held up a sign that said, ‘Love Muslims, Hate Islam: Jesus is love and hope’.
But although his silent protest was no threat to public order, someone complained, and he was arrested and detained by police for 13 hours.
