Members of Parliament are increasingly concerned by the handling of a private member’s bill to legalise assisted suicide.
A group of Labour MPs have written to their colleagues accusing the bill’s sponsor, Kim Leadbeater, of giving a one-sided view of expert evidence.
In an open letter the MPs say, ‘given the complexity and gravity of the issues involved, we believe there is a responsibility to balance all of the evidence presented so that members can make informed judgements.’
