The committee of MPs looking at the assisted suicide bill has issued a call for evidence, and several MPs signal that they are becoming increasingly concerned by the proposed legislation.

Anyone with relevant expertise is invited to make a written submission to the committee. This could include doctors, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, carers, disabled people, terminally ill people, church leaders, or others.

Various Christian and non-Christian groups who oppose the legislation will be providing guidance on how people can make submissions to the committee.

Meanwhile, it appears that dozens of MPs have indicated their willingness to oppose the planned new laws which could legalise assisted suicide in England and Wales.
