Brand new principal for college

The Faith Mission Bible College in Edinburgh has appointed Rev. John Brand to the position of principal. John Brand had been the college’s vice-principal for the past two years and succeeds former principal Rev. Dr Sandy Roger.

After training at Glasgow’s Bible Training Institute, Rev. Brand ministered in two churches in London and Liverpool affiliated to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches. Following this, he joined the home staff of Africa Inland Mission as Scottish representative and during his eight-year tenure at AIM became its European director, preaching in Africa, Europe and the UK.

John Brand, who has authored an evangelistic book called Mission matters, also founded Friends of Sudan, of which he is chairman. Friends of Sudan is a Christian charity that supports Christian schools in Sudan and the training of church leaders and preachers.

The college has a two year Diploma in Theology course and a new part-time, two year Diploma in Expository Preaching. It aims to equip men and women spiritually, practically and academically for Christian ministry. More information from: http://www.faithmission.org
