Jesus fruit
More than 100 ladies of all ages attended the seventh annual ladies’ day at Thornton Heath Evangelical Church in South London.
It was a good opportunity for Christian ladies from more than 15 different churches to meet, bring along their friends, and be encouraged by joining together in praise, fellowship and friendship around God’s Word.
The men of the church, who were dressed in white shirts and smart black bow ties, served lunch between the two meetings. The speaker this year was Jean Samuels, a retired missionary from Brazil, who spoke movingly and practically from John 15:1-17 on how to live a fruitful Christian life. Her talk was entitled ‘Lessons from the vineyard’.
God wants us to bring forth more ‘Jesus fruit’ in our lives, by abiding in him, with the blessing overflowing to others.
The Family Ashmore – a trio consisting of mum Pauline, who sang and played the guitar, and daughters Carrie and Josie on the flute and violin – provided lovely musical items. A great time of fellowship and teaching was enjoyed by all who attended the event.
