Marie Stopes petition
More than 600 complaints have been delivered to the UK government following the first televised commercial for abortion services.
The Marie Stopes clinic advert, first screened on Channel 4 in May, was the subject of intense lobbying, according to culture minister Ed Vaizey.
As reported in ET, pro-life charity LifeLeague had campaigned to remove the advert for unplanned pregnancy and abortion advice, claiming it to be misleading and one-sided.
A statement from the LifeLeague said, ‘We would like to thank all our supporters who sent in complaints against these adverts’.
