New church for KL

Evangel Bible Presbyterian Church (BPC), near Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, recently held its first thanksgiving anniversary service. More than 50 people attended.
The preacher was Pastor Jack Sin of Maranatha BPC, Singapore, who preached from Acts 2:42-47 on ‘Building a vibrant and growing church today’. In his sermon Pastor Sin stressed that Jesus Christ is the head of the church. The church’s confessional standard is the Westminster Confession of Faith.
The church meets in rented accommodation at 26, Jalan 22/21, Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya. This accommodates 70-80 people; there is also room for fellowship meetings, seminars and a Sunday school. The Sunday service is timed at 10am (with Sunday school ministry) and there is a mid-week prayer meeting and Bible study.
The congregation is growing, with more than 30 people, including children, gathering together. There is much to be done for the Lord in the days ahead.
Maranatha BPC, Singapore, has also been engaged for two years in a church-planting ministry at Covenant BPC, Bangalore, in India. Land there has been purchased and a church building is currently being erected.
