Proclamation Trust
The Proclamation Trust has announced the full programme for the Evangelical Ministry Assembly, its 2010 flagship conference for Bible preachers and teachers.
Held in London over three days (24-26 June), the conference is called ‘Not by might, nor by power – Spirit filled ministry’. It includes some innovative teaching sessions.
The main Bible teaching will be given by Rupert Bentley-Taylor, pastor of Widcombe Baptist Church in Bath and president of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches. The keynote addresses will be given by John Piper, pastor for preaching and vision at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minnesota.
Director of the Proclamation Trust, Vaughan Roberts, said: ‘Pastors will be strengthened and encouraged by Rupert’s and John’s ministry. In addition, we are going to explore some important themes on which Christians differ.
‘I will be joined by John Coles, Liam Goligher, Hugh Palmer and Terry Virgo to identify, critique and understand different views of the ministry of the Spirit in church life and how this works out in practice’.
Alongside these sessions are five targeted seminar options. Speakers include Wayne Grudem (Phoenix Seminary) debating prophecy in today’s church; Mike Reeves (UCCF) exploring the Reformers’ doctrine of the Spirit; and Marcus Honeysett (Living Leadership) encouraging pastors to cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in their own lives.
