UK post-pope
Professed Christians of all denominations believe that the pope’s visit last year succeeded in raising wider awareness of Christian issues, according to a survey.
The poll, conducted by ComRes on behalf of Premier Media Group, found that 63 per cent of Christians, of all denominations, felt the pope’s recent visit accomplished a lot.
The poll, comprising 600 panel surveys and more than 1,000 interviews, also found that 64 per cent agreed that the pope correctly addressed serious problems facing society.
While 53 per cent believed the pope only represented Roman Catholics, 57 per cent still felt that what the pontiff said during his visit to the UK was relevant to them.
