Alan Victor Patrick Mace peacefully passed from this life to the next in his Teignmouth home last October, aged 95.
Alan was born in Norwich in 1929, but grew up in Thundersley, Essex. At 14 he attended art college, where he learned his trade as a sign-writer. At 16 he met a certain Wendy Nutt on the bus home. Their friendship led to a courtship and then marriage in 1951.
