Pastor for Parkstone

On Saturday 8 October, Simon Patterson was inducted to the pastorate at Parkstone Free Evangelical Church in Poole, Dorset.
The church, a member of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches, recently celebrated its 78th year in Poole, and had been praying and seeking a pastor for a number of years.
Mr Patterson, a graduate of Wales’s WEST college, answered the call, along with his wife Kirsty and daughter Orla. They are a young family, which the church had asked the Lord to provide — and their prayers were duly answered.
The induction was led by chairman Geoff Lock, church elder, who had overseen the pastorate at the church for the past few years. A number of local church ministers from FIEC churches attended and took part in the service.
David Matson, elder at Lansdowne Baptist Church, brought the charge to the pastor and preached from 1 Thessalonians. Mike Mellor, from Hope Church in Ferndown, brought the charge to the church, preaching from Colossians.
The service was a great blessing, particularly to the church members who have great hopes for the future, should the Lord tarry.
