‘250 years of Reformed and Puritan theology: From Pierre Viret to Griffith Jones’ was the title of a three-day conference at Christ Church, Teddington, last October.
Paul Karageorgis spoke first on ‘The Reformed Patriarch of Constantinople: Cyril Lucaris’. He explained how Lucaris (1572–1638) became evangelical in his faith, and how the machinations of the Jesuits prevented a reformation in the Eastern Orthodox Church.
