Troubled families
East London and Essex charity, WHCM Counselling and Support (WHCM), has awarded ten more counsellors certificates, on completion of their diploma in counselling children and adolescents.
A statement from WHCM said the counsellors will go on to help and support troubled or problem children, adolescents and families in various schools and other situations.
The statement pointed to recent comments from Eric Pickles MP, Communities Secretary, who stated there are roughly 120,000 troubled families in the UK, costing the state £9 billion each year.
The 42-week course is run at the WHCM headquarters building in Chelmsford in conjunction with the Anglian Ruskin University.
