A Roman Catholic farmer in America has won a legal action against city authorities who banned him from selling his apples in a farmers’ market because he expressed his belief in marriage.
Country Mill Farms owner Steve Tennes had posted on social media that he follows Catholic teaching about marriage and only allows weddings on his family’s farm which accord with his religious beliefs.
In response, the city of East Lansing, Michigan, decided to prohibit Tennes from participating in the East Lansing farmer’s market. However, a federal court later ruled the ban was unconstitutional.
