The Vietnamese government has blocked three citizens from travelling to the US to attend a religious liberty conference.

The International Religious Freedom (IRF) Summit took place in Washington, D.C., last month, but all three invitees from Vietnam were not allowed to travel.

All three – Nguyen Thanh Cuong, Nguyen Xuan Mai, and Nguyen Ngoc Dien – can testify to breaches of religious liberty rights in the communist country.

But they were stopped by officials from boarding flights at Ho Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat international airport in January.
