The preacher for the conference at Spring Road Evangelical Church in February was Jeremy Walker (Maidenbower Baptist Church, Crawley).
The first talk was entitled ‘Revival, defined and described’. Jeremy offered a working definition of revival: ‘Times of extraordinary intensification of God’s ordinary work.’
Seasoned with verses from 1 Thessalonians 1 and 2 and spiced with accounts from revival history, he examined the men that God employs, the means that God uses, the ministry that God blesses, the might that God shows, and the mercy that God bestows.
A discussion session between the main meetings, chaired by Mark Stocker (pastor of the host church), explored and applied some of these themes.
